Cardiff Quickdraw 2021 - Together (48 Hour Challenge)
I worked with Stop Mo Studios to create an entry for the Cardiff Quickdraw 2021 challenge, where we had to create a short film in only 48 hours!
The theme of the challenge was 'Together', and we adapted a poem by Elizabeth Starr to create our entry 'Me and the Bleed'.
The short film tells the story Elizabeth's recovery after suffering from a brain haemorrhage, and adapts her poem 'So into trees our bodies become' to visualise her perception of the experience in animation.
Behinds the Scenes Reel:
I animated the characters in Toon Boom Harmony, using a series of key frames to create the animation and life within the limited length of time. I also used After Effects to enhance the animation and I edited together the final film, just completing it within the forty-eight hour window!
